2023 marks the 29th anniversary of Voices of Lee. Led by Founding Director Danny Murray, this 15-member group is characterized by their unique variety of lush vocal harmonies, along with high energy contemporary a cappella arrangements of several genres. They have captivated audiences worldwide, performing at the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris and have been featured performers for Christmas at the White House in Washington D.C. Their convention appearances have taken them from Israel to Ontario and numerous U.S. cities, including many of the nation’s great churches. The ensemble was propelled into the international spotlight on the debut season of NBC’s Sing-Off, a competition for a cappella groups. Out of thousands of auditions, Voices of Lee was selected as one of eight groups to compete and was featured on four primetime NBC network episodes. After nationwide voting, the Voices of Lee finished as second runner-up in the Sing-Off. Most recently, Voices of Lee was voted 2018 “Favorite Collegiate Group,” “Favorite Religious Group,” and “Favorite Video” by the International A Cappella Music Awards’ voting audience. They have been featured performers in China at the Shanghai International Music Festival, at Carnegie Hall, and at the Beacon Theater on Broadway. Voices of Lee has recorded 17 CD projects. Their video recordings have exceeded 109 million views online. And most recently, they were a part of project featuring the music of Geron Davis which has been nominated for a 2023 Dove Award.
