First-Time Guests
Visiting a new church can be daunting, but at First Baptist Church, we strive to make your experience as welcoming and comfortable as possible. Our friendly greeters are here to assist you with any questions you may have and to guide you through our services. We encourage you to arrive a bit early to familiarize yourself with our facilities and meet our community. Your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything.
Convenient Parking Options
First Baptist Church offers a variety of parking options to ensure your visit is stress-free. We have designated guest parking spaces on Church Street and Broad Street, making it easy for you to find a spot close to our entrances. Additionally, the City Parking Deck on Broad Street provides free parking directly across from our sanctuary. For families with children, the entrance is conveniently located near the parking deck. We also have ample public parking available around the church, including the Troup County Parking Deck on Ridley Ave. For those with walking limitations, ample handicap parking spaces are available on Church Street and Broad Street, as well as in our rear parking lot. Our goal is to make your arrival as smooth as possible, so you can focus on enjoying your time with us.

Arriving at First Baptist Church
When you arrive at First Baptist Church, our friendly greeters will be there to welcome you with a smile. They are ready to assist you with any questions you might have and will guide you to your seat. Elevators are available in our Church Street Entrance, Broad Street entrance, Family Life Center entrance, and at our rear entrance. Wheelchairs are available, as well. As a first-time visitor, you’ll receive a bulletin that includes a visitor card. We encourage you to fill it out so we can stay connected and ensure you feel right at home. We have two worship services. Our 8:30 service is in our Sanctuary (100 Broad Sreet) and our 11:00 service is in the New Life Building (117 Church Street). We are honored to provide a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for children with special needs during our 11:00 AM worship service in our Respite Care Room.
Families with Children
For families visiting with children, the Broad Street entrance is the most convenient. As you enter, our hospitality team will greet you and help you check in your children. We will introduce you to our dedicated kids’ leaders who will ensure your children are safe and engaged. After check-in, you can proceed to worship or a Sunday School class, knowing your children are in good hands.
