Georgia Baptist Missions

At First Baptist, we help the Georgia Baptist Mission Board collect three different yearly offerings. We give to the Annie Armstrong, Georgia State Missions, and Lottie Moon offerings. To learn more about each offering, scroll or click to the right.

Georgia State Missions

From Sept. 3 – Oct. 29, we are collecting the GA State Mission Offering. Our goal is $15,000.

The needs are big, and every community needs help. The good news is the Church exists in every community and is equipped and able to bring change and hope. We do it better together. Jesus showed us how to love, serve, and share. He never left people the same. That’s our calling, too…to love our neighbors…in Georgia. The September Mission Georgia offering emphasis represents the collaborative efforts of Georgia Baptists to love our neighbors and serve the vulnerable. Areas of focus:
FOSTER CARE & ADOPTION
CHILDHOOD LITERACY
REFUGEES & INTERNATIONALS
HUMAN TRAFFICKING
MATERNITY CARE

Lottie Moon Offering

We begin collecting this offering in November each year and collection stops on Dec. 31. Our goal each year is $40,000.

Lottie Moon was sent as a Southern Baptist missionary to China from 1873 to 1912. She saw firsthand the world’s greatest problem – LOSTNESS. Meeting so many people who had never heard the gospel compelled her to write letters to American churches describing the need for a greater missionary presence. Every year at FBC, we collect an offering to send and support missionaries to be steadfastly present among those who have never heard the gospel.

Annie Armstrong Offering

We begin collecting this offering around Easter. Our goal each year is $25,000.

The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering (AAEO) is the primary way Southern Baptists fund missions in North America. One hundred percent of gifts given to AAEO go to the field to support more than 2,400 missionary families serving across the United States and Canada. Gifts to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering are used to train and resource missionaries in church planting and compassion ministries. Gifts are also used to create evangelism resources. New churches are being planted, hurts are being healed and lives are being transformed by the gospel because you give.
