What is night to shine?
Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience,centered on God’s love, for people with special needs, ages 14 and older. On one night, hundreds of churches of different denominations from all over the world will come together to celebrate people with special needs! Each guest will be treated to a red carpet walk with our encouraging paparazzi, dancing, dinner, games, a limo ride. Hair and make-up touch ups and a shoeshine add to the excitement.

The event is from 6-9 PM on February 9, 2024
Is there a fee for Night to Shine?
No. Thanks to the Tim Tebow Foundation, First Baptist Church on the Square and the many supporters of LaGrange and surrounding counties, we can offer this as a free event.
What should the guests wear?
Guests may be as dressy as they would like. It will be a fun night to get all fancy! Don’t have anything fancy to wear? Wear your favorite outfit and join the fun.
Are there chaperones for the prom?
Yes! Each guest is paired with a “buddy” for the evening. This “buddy” will hang out the entire evening making sure our guests is well taken care of. As guest enter Night to Shine, they will be given a nametag that includes emergency name and number contact info provided on the registration form. We will contact parent/caregiver if needed.
Will there be food? How do I let you know about allergies?
Yes! There will be food. When you complete the guest registration form, the parent/caregiver will have the opportunity to list any allergies or concerns.
What happens if my child needs a break from the music, lights etc?
We will have a sensory room where our guests can hang out if they need some quiet time.
What do parents/caregivers do during the prom?
We have a special night planned for up to 2 parents/caregivers for each guest. A dinner and
other treats are planned. At the end of the night parents and caregivers will join the dance to
see each guest receive their crown or tiara.
Do parents/caregivers have to remain on campus during the event?
Parents/caregivers are not required to stay on campus during the event. However, if
medication is needed, only a parent/caregiver is allowed to administer the medication.
Can a parent/caregiver escort their child to Night to Shine?
We would love to give you a special night off but in the case that you would like to accompany
your child, we welcome you to do that. Each person that attends the prom portion of the event
will need to complete a background check and attend training for the event.
