Grow Spiritually in Bible Study
Find support and encouragement with others seeking to know Christ and God’s Word better. Sunday or weekday, day or evening, large or small, for women, men, couples, singles, seniors or multi-generational, those new in faith or those ready to delve deeply into Scripture, we have Sunday School, ongoing study groups, and short-term Bible studies. Special-purpose groups such as GriefCare, DivorceCare, or Financial Peace are also available.

Merrymakers Senior Adult Luncheons
Senior adults from First Baptist and other community churches gather on the third Thursday of each month to enjoy lunch ($5.00 per person), fellowship with friends, old and new, and a musical program. The average attendance is 120-170. Reservations are required. Contact the church office at 706 884-5631 for details.
A senior adult monthly newsletter provides announcements, helpful and inspirational articles, humor, and more.

Opportunities to serve
First Baptist senior adults actively serve in the church and community in literally hundreds of ways, sharing their time, talents, and love of Christ with others as greeters, nursery workers, teachers, bereavement committee, church supper servers, in TeamKid, Operation Christmas Child, Meals on Wheels, choirs, Vacation Bible School, to name a few. To see all opportunities available to FBC seniors, click the serve button below.

Merrymakers members from other community churches may also join the NEW HORIZONS SENIOR CHOIR (contact the music office at 706 884-4832). Or they may serve in more than fifty volunteer tasks for Merrymakers luncheons or the newsletter (speak with President Bruce Graben or Senior Committee Chair Janice Morrow at luncheon. Both pictured.)
