The Prodigal Son
It's so hard not to compare ourselves with others. The Bible teaches us to examine ourselves, not others. In this parable, Jesus did not tell us the end of the story. Both sons have gone astray, seeking their own satisfaction in ungodly ways, and neither is justified. But the father never stops loving both of his sons. Our Heavenly Father nevers stops loving His children, even when we go astray -- regardless of what we have done.
