Before the millions of shoebox gifts collected each year can bring hope and joy to children around the world, there is a lot of work to be done to prepare each box. If you would like to volunteer to help with OCC this year, please click the button below!
Clothing Center
We have a need for a Church Coordinator for the Yolanda Jabaley Clothing Center, a local ministry for which several churches provide volunteer workers and their own church coordinator. First Baptist Church provides volunteers to help at the Center in the months of May and December. The Center is located at 201 Byron Hurst Street in LaGrange. You may donate gently used clothing for children and adults, and these are shared with others through vouchers given by local schools and churches. At FBC we hand out our Clothing Center vouchers on Tuesday mornings at our Soup Kitchen.
Meals on Wheels
Each week our church is very active in taking meals along with love to folks in our community! Our Meals on Wheels ministry, which involves volunteers and staff, delivers over 140 meals in all areas of Troup County and share God’s love through the process!
Helping Hands
Helping Hands is a group of dedicated volunteers at First Baptist who give their time, talents, and energy to make home repairs and improvements for people in a variety of circumstances. This outreach is a wonderful way to show the love of Jesus to our surrounding community.
